Welcome

Hello and welcome to our website.  We hope you enjoy browsing through our pages, looking at our alpacas and the wonderful products they give us. Our goal is to provide consumer and artisans with high quality fiber product.  On our farm, our goal is to employ natural methods of animal husbandry, pest control and land management techniques in providing fiber product to you.

Our primary goal is to use Made in America whenever possible.  There are products that will be offered for sale that are made in Peru.   The American Alpaca Industry does have ties and socioeconomic relationship with the various South American Indian tribes.  They provide us with a larger variety of garments, we pay them a fair market price and try to improve the lives of their community in various ways.  There are links, on our Community News page, to various projects which the American Alpaca Fiber industry is involved.

The Alpaca Fiber Industry utilizes local/national processors when transforming fiber.   This is good for our economy on so many levels.  The American Alpaca Fiber Industry utilizes family operated businesses, which employ people in their communities and pay them a fair living wage. When a consumer buys finished products from local Alpaca Farmer, they are supporting many responsible businesses, manufacturers, and the alpaca farmers.

When making a purchase of fiber or products you can feel good about your dollar working in our economy.   You are purchasing a product that did not harm the earth, the air and water.  Alpacas are very gentle on the land they use.  Because the US manufactures do not dye alpaca fiber there isn't any chemical that is released into the air or water.  Washing alpaca fiber is done with a gentle cleanser and clear water rinse.

I believe that in many small ways we are all responsible, through action, word and deeds, or lack thereof, for the human condition, in our communities, state, country and world.  In this spirit I will donate 0.50 from each pair of socks sold to My Care, which is an organization that helps women of the thrid world improve their lives and the lives of those around them.  If you are interested to learn more, or to read how this organization helps, I have provided a link in the community section, perhaps you would like to help too.

Our suppliers include: Andean Art, Criations, Lanart, The Peruvian Link Frog Creek Socks, Alpaca Direct, and Red Maple Sports.
